This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage (local storage and session storage) used on cbooks.dev. It is part of our privacy policy.

2. What we use

We use only cookies and storage that are strictly necessary to provide the Service you ask for. They are always on.

• Your sign-in: keeps you signed in on this device until you sign out or the session ends (7 days, or 30 days if you choose to stay signed in).
• Your preferences: your language and light or dark appearance. They stay on the device after you sign out.
• Work in progress: for example the book you used last and the conversation you have open with the AI, kept in the browser while you work and removed when you sign out.
• Security: Cloudflare, which protects cbooks.dev, may set cookies that tell real visitors from automated attacks.
• Sign-in and payment providers: if you use Sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its own sites; when you pay, Stripe’s checkout page sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. Their policies apply to those cookies.

3. What we do not use

We do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not let others place them on cbooks.dev. If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, and update this policy.

4. Your choices

You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. If you block the ones above, you cannot sign in or use the Service. Signing out removes your sign-in and work in progress from the device.

We may update this policy and will publish the new version on this page with a new date.
