Terms of Service
Effective date: October 29, 2026
1. The service
C Books (小C記帳, cbooks.dev, the “Service”) is an online bookkeeping service for small businesses, owned and operated by Goldi Apple LLC (“we”, “us”). It provides books with a chart of accounts, journal entries, sales and purchases, bank records and reconciliation, inventory, financial reports, data import and connections, and AI that drafts entries and answers questions about your books. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm that you may do so.
2. Accounts and registration
- You must register an account and give true and accurate information. You may sign up with your e-mail address.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for what happens under your account. You may not transfer or lend your account to others. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at once at [email protected].
- Each person or business may register only one account.
3. Books and access
- Each book belongs to the account that created it. Sharing a book with other people is not available yet.
- If you allow the C Books team to view or help with a book (platform access), you can change or withdraw that permission at any time in the book.
4. Plans and payment
- C Books offers a Free plan, which has no time limit, and paid plans with the limits shown on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars (USD) and are shown before tax; where we are required to collect tax, it is added at checkout. Payments are made by card and processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Paid plans are paid in advance for a month or a year and do not renew automatically. We remind you before a paid period ends; to continue, you pay for the next period on the Membership page.
- You can upgrade at any time; the unused value of your current plan becomes extra days on the new plan. Downgrades are not available during a paid period.
- Points — what they pay for (the AI features, by usage), how they are given and expire, and refunds — are governed by the points terms and refund policy. AI bookkeeping is also limited to the number of requests a month shown for each plan on the pricing page, and to prevent abuse we may limit how many AI requests can be made in a day or a month.
- Payments for a period that has already started are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. For duplicate charges, incorrect amounts or system errors, please contact [email protected] within 30 days. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
5. When a paid plan ends
Your account returns to the Free plan. Your books and data are not deleted. Books beyond the Free plan’s limits become read-only until you renew or upgrade, and the other limits of the Free plan apply. Unused points included in the plan are kept on hold as the points terms describe.
6. AI features
- The AI drafts entries, reads the documents and statements you give it and answers questions about your books. What it produces can be wrong or incomplete: check it before you rely on it. The AI does not post entries on its own; you decide what is posted.
- To produce its answers, what you send to the AI is processed by the AI providers named in the privacy policy. Do not send content you have no right to share.
7. Not professional advice
The Service is a bookkeeping tool. It does not give accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, file tax returns or run payroll. You remain responsible for your books, your filings and your compliance with the law; ask a qualified professional where needed.
8. Third-party services
Banks, brokers, QuickBooks Online, Google and Stripe have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or for the data they provide. Bank and broker connections only read data: the Service never makes payments or transfers money.
9. Your data and acceptable use
- You own the data you put into the Service. You allow us to store, process and show it only as needed to provide the Service, as the privacy policy describes. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
- You may not use the Service to break the law, to record fraudulent transactions or launder money, to try to reach other people’s data, to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, or to resell it without our written permission.
10. Suspension and termination
If an account breaks these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk, we may suspend features, suspend the account or close it, with notice where reasonable and, where we can, a chance to download your data first. You may close your account at any time. We may also modify, suspend or end any part of the Service; if we end the whole Service, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided as is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will publish the new version on this page with a new date. For important changes we will also tell you by e-mail or in the Service before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the updated terms take effect, you accept them.
13. Governing law and language
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- If you use the Service as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the consumer law of the country where you live. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
- These terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience; if a translation differs from the English version, the English version governs.
